MIC, ST PATRICK’S CAMPUS, THURLES
There are 36 en-suite bedrooms conveniently located onsite at
MIC, St Patrick’s Campus, Thurles. Spaced out over three floors, they provide accommodation for 36 male or female students on a single room basis. Facilities and services provided include the following: Bedrooms equipped with
single bed, study desk, chair
and plenty of storage.
All bedrooms have bathrooms
with a sink, toilet and shower. There is a spacious, communal TV lounge and fully equipped, self- catering kitchen area. The kitchen includes cooking facilities including stoves and microwaves as well as sinks, refrigerators, kettles and cupboards for storing food items.
Please Note: Students must provide their own bed linen and towels in all College accommodation outlets.
METHOD OF BOOKING
Bookings are taken all year round. However, early booking is highly recommended. We strongly advise students to reserve their accommodation as soon as
their CAO forms are completed. Students may only provisionally book one type of accommodation.
Mary Immaculate College owns and operates on-campus residential accommodation for 200 students. Choosing to live in college accommodation offers students the convenience of living on-campus, or within a short walking distance of it. It provides opportunities for making friends and for academic, social
and cultural enrichment in a secure and comfortable environment.
ACCOMMODATION OFFICE
The College’s Accommodation Office provides assistance to students in finding accommodation in dedicated student residences
or in private houses.
HALLS OF RESIDENCE
Mary Immaculate College on- campus Halls of Residence are
an extension of the main College building. Spaced out over three floors, they provide accommodation for 68 female students on a
single room, bed and breakfast basis. Facilities and services provided include the following: Study bedrooms equipped with study desk, chair and overhead shelving, wardrobe, chest of drawers and vanity unit. Bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets are available on each floor. Lounge/Kitchenette area located on each floor and equipped with TV, refrigerator, kettle and microwave.
Please note: this area is suitable for the preparation of light snacks only.
A coin operated self-service launderette is located on each floor and there is a housekeeping service for communal areas. There is also a twenty-four hour security service. The College restaurant and cafeteria offer breakfast, lunch, evening meals and a full deli-bar, as well
as a Starbucks Café. Services are provided in the College restaurant from 8.15am to 6.45pm, Monday
to Thursday and from 8.15am to 2pm on Fridays. 'Meal Deals' are also available to students. The catering service is provided by Aramark Campbell Catering. Soup, sandwiches and snacks are also available in the MISU Siopa.
COURTBRACK ACCOMMODATION
This purpose-built facility provides managed accommodation for 96 students on a self-catering basis. Accommodation is available to all undergraduate and postgraduate students, male and female. Single and twin study bedrooms are available. Residents of the complex also have use of a self-catering kitchen and communal TV lounge. Private parking is available and there is a housekeeping service for the upkeep of communal areas. Located on Courtbrack Avenue, this accommodation is less than a five-minute walk from the College
