Student Facilities
MIC provides the computing facilities needed by it's undergraduate and postgraduate students, in co-operation with the University of Limerick. Students use computers in many different ways.
Most courses require you to make some use of computers: word processing essays, learning programming languages, surfing the Internet, viewing the Library catalogue, analysing research results..., etc.
Students are also provided with Microsoft Exchange e-mail accounts. This features a staff contact list, and also allows students to email other students. The student email address is determined by individual student names.
Printing of notes, student assignments etc is possible in areas outside of the library or the cluster within the main building. Printing can be facilitated by topping up your personal account with printing credit here.
All student access computers are equpied with Windows 7 operating system.
Note that all computer use is subject to the provisions of the Code of Conduct for Users of the University of Limerick's Computing Resources - http://www.ul.ie/ITD/Doc.html
