Ann-Marie Ryan, Deputy Director of Human Resources

Ann-Marie had over 10 years Human Resources experience prior to joining the College in March 2007. She was the Human Resources Manager in Milford Care Centre, Limerick for 5 years and Acting Human Resources Manager at the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin.

Ann-Marie works closely with all staff, particularly Line Managers, in addressing and supporting their Human Resources needs in regard to, recruitment, employee relations issues, compliance with College Policies and employment laws and regulations. She also coordinates and presents on the staff orientation programmes and other staff development programmes.
She provides comprehensive and confidential HR support and advice to the College President, the Vice-Presidents, other members of College Management, and to all College staff.

Ann-Marie holds a B.Comm from NUIG and a Diploma in Employment Law from the National College of Ireland. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development.

Mary O'Brien, Executive Officer Human Resources

Mary joined the College in April 2008.  She has worked in both the Research Office and the President's Office prior to joining the Human Resources Team in January 2012.  Mary provides comprehensive administrative support to the other members of the HR Team, thus ensuring the efficient operating of the HR function.  She maintains employees’ personnel files, reports, recruitments competition records, and correspondence.

Mary ensures that employee data records are managed effectively.  She is actively engaged in the administration of recruitment competitions by preparing job advertisements, arranging interviews, administering pre-employment tests, and participating in selection process.

She holds a B.Sc Degree in Information Systems from LIT and a Certificate in Employment Law.
