Research Interests: My principal research and teaching interests are in the area environment and development, with a particular focus on the use of political ecology approaches to understanding resource exploitation; environmental governance; social impact assessment methodologies; illicit economies and criminal networks; drug cultivation and production; rural livelihood strategies and adaptation; vulnerability, risk and natural hazards, and liberation ecologies.
